For a really simple personalized card, try this:
Lightly sketch out block letters of the lucky recipient’s name on the front of the card. Then cut it out using an X-acto knife. Don’t worry about the insides of the letters – see how I handled the “D.” And don’t worry about it being perfect. Pretty easy, though people with short names luck out; I think I’d be more likely to make one of these for an AJ than for a Bartholomew… The cards make great shadows when the light shines down, and you end up with a fun pile of letters which you can spell out their name with on the front of the envelope.
